Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 17

Another mixed bag for me. I went 6-6 in the spread and 9-5 in the victory column. What really did it for me was Christmas Day. I bombed all 3 games played that day. But I recovered a little bit with a Thursday Night push (Push is a win for me). That brings the tally to:

Points: 97-75

Victories: 143-85

Colts @ Giants (-5.5): Giants too well coached to overlook a team. They will win and clinch a playoff berth.

Points: Giants     Victory: Giants

Saints @ Eagles (-5.5): The Saints are a mystery to me. I think the Eagles will win by 7,. even though they are resting people

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Broncos @ Chiefs (-12.5): THAT'S NOT WHAT HE WANTED TO COOK!

Points: Chiefs     Victory: Chiefs

Bears @ Lions (-6): Don't really know about this one. Let's see if the Lions can rebound after a shocking loss. I think they do, but I think I will take the Bears with the points.

Points: Bears     Victory: Lions

Jaguars (-3) @ Texans: Trevor moving on up. Give me Jacksonville

Points: Jags    Victory: Jags

Panthers @ Buccaneers (-4): I want to pick the Panthers so badly, but I feel some mischief afoot to get Tom Brady back into the playoffs. I will split the difference.

Points: Panthers    Victory: Buccaneers

Dolphins (-2) @ Patriots: PICK'EM! Don't think Teddy is a huge downgrade for Miami given their offensive structure. I think New England's time has run out.

Victory: Dolphins

Browns @ Commanders (-2.5): PICK'EM #2!  I'll go with Washington being more desperate.

Victory: Commies

Cardinals @ Falcons (-5.5): Ridder vs. David Blough. Yawn

Points: Falcons    Victory: Falcons

49ers (-9) @ Raiders:  Niners will continue to roll against a Raiders team in transition.

Points: Niners    Victory: Niners

Jets (-2) @ Seahawks: PICK'EM #3! Think Mike White is the key factor in energizing the Jets and keeping them alive. Seattle has stagnated and I don't think there is a jolt there.

Victory: Jets

Vikings @ Packers (-3): Nobody fights harder than an animal with its back against the wall, and that is what Green Bay is. Don't know if the Vikings have the enthusiasm for this one. I will go with Green Bay

Points: Packers    Victory: Packers

Rams @ Chargers (-6.5): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No home field advantage for either. Rams, with Baker Mayfield, have been playing a lot better. Chargers have just clinched a playoff spot so I don't know how up they will be for this game. I will take the Rams.

Points: Rams     Victory: Rams

Steelers @ Ravens (-2.5): PICK'EM #3! Pitt is still alive technically, but I think Baltimore uses the veteran saavy to bring this one home and eliminate the Steelers.

Victory: Ravens

Bills (-1) @ Bengals: PICK'EM #4! I think the loss of La'el Collins will prove costly here. The Bills will pressure Burrow hard. I think the Bills win a tough game and stay alive for a 1 seed.

Victory: Bills

Greg's NFL Picks: Week 16.

I'm going to keep this quick, because it's Christmas and I want to relax. Had a bad week against the spread. 4-7 in that column but 9-7 in the victory column.

Points: 91-69

Victories: 140-80

Bengals (-3) @ Patriots:     Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Bills (-8) @ Bears:   Points: Bears    Victory: Bills

Seahawks (-10) @ Chiefs:   Points: Seahawks   Victory: Chiefs

Lions (-2.5) @ Panthers: PICK'EM!     Victory: Lions

Giants @ Vikings (-4):   Points: Vikings    Victory: Vikings

Texans @ Titans (-3): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!

Points: Texans     Victory: Texans

Saints @ Browns (-3):    Points: Browns     Victory: Browns

Falcons @ Ravens (-6.5):   Points: Ravens     Victory: Ravens

Commanders @ 49ers (-6.5):   Points: Niners    Victory: Niners

Eagles @ Cowboys (-4.5):   Points: Cowboys    Victory: Cowboys

Raiders @ Steelers (-2): PICK'EM #2!     Victory: Steelers (RIP Franco Harris)

Packers @ Dolphins (-3.5):    Points:  Dolphins     Victory: Dolphins

Broncos (-3) @ Rams:     Points: Broncos     Victory: Broncos

Buccaneers (-7.5) @ Cardinals:    Points: Bucs     Victory: Bucs

Merry Christmas, everyone

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks : Week 15

I think I would be under way too much pressure if I ended up doing this for a living. But I probably by this point have the credentials to do so. This is just a roundabout way of saying that I had a great week once again. I went 8-2 against the spread and 9-4 in the victory column (Including Thursday). Which brings my take this season to:

Points: 87-64

Victories: 132-73

Let's roll on.

Colts @ Vikings (-3.5): Vikings have been humbled recently, but they should handle the Colts with somewhat ease. I'll take Minnesota.

Points: Vikings    Victory: Vikings

Ravens @ Browns (-2.5) PICK'EM! Tough, but I think the Ravens are used to playing with Tyler Huntley at QB. And I don't know if Watson is really ready to explode. I will take Baltimore in a close one.

Victory: Ravens

Dolphins @ Bills (-7): Last week. the Bills showed they could play smashmouth football and they will have to again in the bad weather to beat Miami. The spread scares me a little but I will go with Buffalo to at least push.

Points: Bills    Victory: Bills

Eagles (-8.5) @ Bears: The Eagles are probably the one team most suited to stop Justin Fields because of Jalen Hurts. Give me Philly once again.

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Lions (-1) @ Jets: PICK'EM #2! Even with the announcement that Zach Wilson would start, the line has barely moved. This is a pick'em all the way. I have to go with Detroit based on momentum and health, but it could go either way.

Victory: Lions

Cowboys (-4) @ Jaguars: Interesting line, but I think the Cowboys survived their scare against Houston and took the lesson. Trevor Lawrence has played well, but this defense is another kettle of fish.
I will take Dallas.

Points: Cowboys    Victory: Cowboys

Chiefs (-14) @ Texans: This time, I will heed the lesson. Chiefs usually win, but they don't usually cover. I will take the 14 points.
EDIT: Just found out Dameon Pierce is out. I will go with the Chiefs instead. Maybe a push

Points: Chiefs    Victory: Chiefs

Steelers @ Panthers (-3): Panthers still have a shot in the woeful NFC South and they have a winning record at home. I will take the Panthers to win.

Points: Panthers    Victory: Panthers

Falcons @ Saints (-4): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!
The Saints are just there. They're blah. But the Falcons have new excitement with Desmond Ridder making his NFL debut. Dennis Allen is really under fire in New Orleans as they play out the string, so I will go with Ridder to add some spark and lead the Falcons to the road win.

Points: Falcons     Victory: Falcons

Patriots (-1.5) @ Raiders: PICK'EM #3! Sneaky interesting game here. McDaniels wants to beat Belichick and the Pats looked meh against the Cardinals. I just don't trust McDaniels enough to get it to the finish line. Pats win another ugly game.

Victory: Pats

Cardinals @ Broncos (-1.5): PICK'EM #4! Colt McCoy vs. Brett Rypien! Have fun. I'll take the Broncos because they have the best unit on the field, but that's not a ringing endorsement.

Victory: Broncos

Bengals (-3.5) @ Buccaneers: Give me the Bengals to win another quality game.

Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Titans @ Chargers (-3): The only reason I worry about the Chargers here is because they're the Chargers. But let's trust them for once and we'll see.

Points: Chargers    Victory: Chargers

Giants @ Commanders (-5): I think the Giants might be too banged up to win this game, but its an NFC East game. Always count on a close game (most of the time).

Points: Giants     Victory: Commies

Rams @ Packers (-7): Interesting game. I think the Packers will win, but I don't trust their offense enough to cover the 7 points. Plus Baker played well in his first action and should grow. I will split the difference here.

Points: Rams    Victory: Packers

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 14

A meh week for me this time with a special stipulation. I went 5-5 against the spread and 9-5 in the victory column. The special stipulation was that I did not give myself credit for the Giants Commies game, as it ended in a tie. I know usually ties go to me, but I decided not to take the win for that because honestly, neither team won. I didn't score it a loss either, so it is essentially null and void. My season total is now:

Points: 79-62

Victories: 123-69

Onto the picks:

Eagles (-7.5) @ Giants: With Saquon questionable. I don't think the Giants have a prayer. I take the Eagles.

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Jets @ Bills (-10): Have to split here. Buffalo's offense has not clicked on all cylinders, and they may be missing several key defensive players, despite the extra rest. Bills win, but they don't cover.

Points: Jets     Victory: Bills

Vikings @ Lions (-2): PICK'EM! I know the Lions have played better, but again, the experience in close games should favor Minnesota. I will take them.

Victory: Vikings

Browns @ Bengals (-5.5): Revenge game for the Bengals, who seem to be pushing at the right time. I will take them at home with the points.

Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Texans @ Cowboys (-17): Eeeeeek, this spread is dangerous. But I have to go with Dallas because Houston is in full tank mode. Very reluctantly, I will go Cowboys.

Points: Cowboys     Victory: Cowboys

Jaguars @ Titans (-3.5): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKK!!!!!!!!!!!
I had two upset picks in mind which were iffy at best. I think this one is the least iffy, so I'm going with this one. Both teams coming off beatdowns. Trevor Lawrence should be back for this game. The gameplan to beat Tennessee is very clear, and the Jags are good defensively. I will go with Jacksonville.

Points: Jaguars    Victory: Jaguars

Ravens @ Steelers (-2): PICK'EM #2! Steelers have been sneaking up of late and no Lamar kind of mucks it for me. Give me Pittsburgh at home.

Victory: Steelers

Chiefs (-9) @ Broncos: I'm done with Denver. If the Broncos could not win that game last week, I don't know how they win again. That being said, Chiefs don't really cover so I will take the points, reluctantly.

Points: Broncos     Victory: Chiefs

Buccaneers @ 49ers (-3.5): This was my other upset pick option, as QBs starting their first game against Tom Brady are 0-6 lifetime. But I think the Niners defense shuts down Brady, and Brock Purdy will manage the Niners to a win.

Points: Niners    Victory: Niners

Panthers @ Seahawks (-3.5): Truth be told. This game has snuck up on me. This has trap game written all over it for Seattle. They get the Niners next week on a short week. However, they've already gotten caught in a trap against the Raiders 2 weeks ago. I don't think they lose, but the possibility is so open that I think I'm going to split the difference.

Points: Panthers    Victory: Seahawks

Dolphins (-3.5) @ Chargers: If the Dolphins lose this game, I will have no respect for them. They have to win this game, especially to keep up in the AFC East. Give me Miami

Points: Dolphins     Victory: Dolphins

Patriots (-2) @ Cardinals: PICK'EM #3! Cardinals can beat this Pats team if they play focused and at their ability. The problem is that they rarely play at that level. I think the Pats win but close.

Victory: Pats

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 13

I'm really amazing myself this year. I don't know whether it's the chaos or knowing the teams, but I am having a great year. It continued as I went 7-3 against the spread and 9-5 in the victory column this week. Which adds up to:

Points: 74-57

Victories: 114-64

This week has a lot of tough games though so let's see if it continues:

Jets @ Vikings (-3): Vikings have had a knack this year for winning close games. I don't think the Jets can pull away from Minnesota (which has happened in their two losses). I think that experience gets them the win in the end.

Points: Vikings     Victory: Vikings

Titans @ Eagles (-4.5):  I don't think the Titans have the air power to take advantage of the Eagles weakened secondary. The Titans are too one dimensional to beat the Eagles IMO. I'll give the points away. with a little hesitation.

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Commanders (-2.5) @ Giants: PICK'EM! Must win game for the Giants and they're getting healthier. I think Daniel Jones (who has owned the Commies in the past) will be the difference maker.

Victory: Giants

Browns (-7) @ Texans: Watson's back. Texans are tanking. Enough said

Points: Browns    Victory: Browns

Broncos @ Ravens (-9.5):  I have to split this game. Ravens are too untrustworthy, and the Broncos are too good defensively.

Points: Broncos     Victory: Ravens

Jaguars (-1) @ Lions: PICK'EM #2! I will take Doug Pederson over Dan Campbell in this matchup. Jaguars win.

Victory: Jaguars

Steelers @ Falcons (-1): PICK'EM #3! Seriously, I think the Steelers are coming along nicely. Atlanta has blown it and I think the Steelers show more pep.

Victory: Steelers

Packers (-3.5) @ Bears: Tempted with Fields back but the Bears defense is still pretty bad. I will split it though to cover myself.

Points: Bears     Victory: Packers

Dolphins @ 49ers (-4): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Dolphins offense and the Niners defense provide the backdrop of this game. Last week, a weird spread led me down the right path. This week, I'm going to fly in the face of that spread. I believe in Tua and that offense. This is a show me game for them and I think they get the win.

Points: Dolphins    Victory: Dolphins

Seahawks (-7) @ Rams. Pardon my language. Fuck the Rams. They blew it last week. I hope they get trampled.

Points: Seahawks    Victory: Seahawks

Chiefs @ Bengals (-1.5): PICK'EM #4! Last year, the Bengals beat the Chiefs twice, including in the AFC title game. I think the Chiefs have had this game circled for a month or so, in order to reassert dominance. I think the Chiefs win.

Victory: Chiefs

Chargers @ Raiders (-1): PICK'EM #5! I'm going to go Chargers simply because I picked against them last week. Seriously, I don't have much a feel.

Victory: Chargers

Colts @ Cowboys (-10.5): I hope this is a blowout, because this should not be the Sunday Night game. NFL deserves some punishment for that.

Points: Cowboys    Victory: Cowboys

Saints @ Buccaneers (-3.5): This is kind of tempting also, but I just don't see how the Saints do it. This is a must win for Tampa, and I think they get it.

Points: Bucs    Victory: Bucs

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 12

I had a nice Thanksgiving, especially with my picks. And that ended a solid week for me, going 7-7 against the spread and 12-4 in the victory column.

Points: 67-54

Victory: 105-69

Because of the three games on Thanksgiving, fewer games to predict now. Let's see if I can take advantage:

Texans @ Dolphins (-14): High spread, but the Dolphins are a high scoring offense, especially recently. I think they cover.

Points: Dolphins     Victory: Dolphins

Ravens (-3.5) @ Jaguars: Lamar Jackson is off the injury list and will play. I will take advantage of the indecision and get the Ravens at a low spread

Points: Ravens   Victory: Ravens

Bears @ Jets (-6): I think the Bears would be fools to play Fields with a bad shoulder against this defense, but it looks still in doubt. I just don't see how the Bears win, especially in wet weather. Mike White is not great, but he should be better than Wilson was last week.

Points: Jets    Victory: Jets

Falcons @ Commanders (-4): Once again, behind Comrade Heineke, the Commanders will win this game. I just like their momentum.

Points: Commies    Victory: Commies

Bengals (-2.5) @ Titans: PICK'EM! No Joe Mixon and questionable Chase for the Bengals. I like the Titans, looking for revenge after last year's playoff defeat to knock off the Bengals. This would have been my upset pick if it was high enough.

Victory: Titans

Broncos (-1) @ Panthers: PICK'EM #2! Broncos better win this game or else there will be calls for firing, if there aren't already.

Victory: Broncos

Buccaneers (-3.5) @ Browns: If the Bucs key in on Nick Chubb, then they should win handily. I think they will and overcome their bad offense to win.

Points: Buccaneers   Victory: Buccaneers

Raiders @ Seahawks (-4): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a total shot in the dark. I saw this line and it spooked me. How could Seattle, a division leader, be favored by only 4 points against a Raiders team that is awful? I think this is going to be a high scoring game, and I just feel that Vegas is up to tricks. I think they know something. I might easily be wrong, but with no other real alternative, I'm going to take it.

Points: Raiders     Victory: Raiders

Chargers (-2.5) @ Cardinals: PICK'EM #3! Two teams that like to self- destruct. Due to Brandon Staley's dislike of turkey at Thanksgiving (SHAME ON YOU!) Going with Arizona

Victory: Cardinals

Saints @ 49ers (-9): It's a big spread, but I've beaten down on the Niners alot and they've played dominantly of late. I think they cover.

Points: Niners    Victory: Niners

Rams @ Chiefs (-15.5): That's a huge number to get. I don't know. I have to think the Rams will put up a little bit of a fight. And the Chiefs don't seem the type of team to rub it in. I will split the difference here.

Points: Rams    Victory: Chiefs

Packers @ Eagles (-6.5): This has disaster written all over it. The Packers have a horrible run defense going against one of the best run teams in the NFL. Eagles clearly.

Points: Eagles     Victory: Eagles

Steelers @ Colts (-2.5) PICK'EM #4!  I like the way Kenny Pickett has progressed recently and I think the Steelers are going to be a bit healthier defensively. I like them against the Colts.

Victory: Steelers

Friday, November 18, 2022

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 11

A mixed bag for me last week. I played the spreads really well, going 6-5. But my victories performance lagged behind. I only went 6-8 in that column. I got the split from Thursday Night (don't trust those Packers). That brings the season tally to:

Points: 60-47

Victories: 93-65

Need a little bounce back, so here we go.

Eagles (-6.5) @ Colts: I think that Monday Night game was a wakeup call and the Eagles will DOMINATE the Colts.

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Lions @ Giants (-3): Thank this spread because I think I can safely take the Giants. I trust their coaching more.

Points: Giants    Victory: Giants

Jets @ Patriots (-3.5): When in doubt, go with the coin of destiny. The coin says Jets lose this game.

Points: Patriots     Victory: Patriots

Browns @ Bills (-7.5): This game is thrown all out of whack because of the weather. They will play in Detroit on Sunday, but the Bills are stuck in Buffalo now. I think the Bills will win and stop a 2 game losing streak, but I think it's going to be sloppy. I will split the difference.

Points: Browns    Victory: Bills

Bears @ Falcons (-3): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of these weeks, Justin Fields will get help from his team. I think it will be this week against a mercurial Falcons team which just gave 232 rushing yards to the Panthers. I think Justin Fields will finally taste the sweetness of victory.

Points: Bears      Victory: Bears

Panthers @ Ravens (-13): This line is scaring the crap out of me. The Ravens don't really blow people out. I'm going to play it safe and take the points, but the Ravens will win.

Points: Panthers    Victory: Ravens

Commanders (-3) @ Texans: As long as Heinicke is playing, I will take the Commies. He adds something to that team.

Points: Commies      Victory: Commies

Rams @ Saints (-3): This is a "Vegas knows something" line. The Rams are getting Stafford back, but Kupp is now hurt. But the Saints have just been blah. I know they're at home, but it's still suspicious. I will go with Vegas; a little hesitantly.

Points: Saints      Victory: Saints

Raiders @ Broncos (-3): Can't take the Raiders seriously anymore.

Points: Broncos    Victory: Broncos

Cowboys (-1.5) @ Vikings: PICK'EM! I guess people think a letdown from Minnesota is expected and the Cowboys will be gunning after losing to Green Bay. I don't think so. The game's not in prime time. I will take the Vikings.

Victory: Vikings

Bengals (-4) @ Steelers: Bengals need this win badly after losing to Pittsburgh back in Week 1. And I think they get it.

Points: Bengals      Victory: Bengals

Chiefs (-5) @ Chargers: The Chargers are basically banged up to the hilt. I will take the Chiefs

Points: Chiefs     Victory: Chiefs

49ers (-8) @ Cardinals:  I'm actually going to split here. I don't know if the Niners are up to winning by more than 7, on the road against a divisional opponent. I think they win, but not by 8.

Points: Cardinals     Victory: Niners

Friday, November 11, 2022

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 10

The impression I had was that I had a horrible week. Both of my upset picks were on the verge of victory, then both the Rams and Falcons collapsed. My Thursday night pick was a disaster. Yet, somehow, I went 6-4 in the points column and 9-4 in the victory column which brings my season total to

Points: 54-42

Victory: 87-57

Now onto Week 10:

Seahawks @ Buccaneers (-2.5): ZE PICK EM! Give me Seattle. Don't trust Brady's momentum

Victory: Seahawks

Jaguars @ Chiefs (-9): Tough line and the Jaguars have not really been blown out this year. Call it a hunch, but I will split

Points: Jaguars    Victory: Chiefs

Texans @ Giants (-4.5): The line going down has helped me. Giants don't blow people out, but I think this is manageable.

Points: Giants    Victory: Giants

Browns @ Dolphins (-3.5): Don't think the Browns can take advantage of the Fins bad pass defense.

Points: Dolphins   Victory: Dolphins

Broncos @ Titans (-2.5): PICK'EM #2!  Tannehill has a chance to start. I think he will and because of that, I will take Tennessee.

Victory: Titans

Vikings @ Bills (-3): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!!
Looks like Josh Allen will play, but the key to this game is the injured Buffalo secondary against the Vikings receivers. I think this could be high scoring, but the running game of the Vikings will serve them well.

Points: Vikings     Victory: Vikings

Lions @ Bears (-3): Really like how the Bears have grown offensively, and I think they will continue in that fashion.

Points: Bears     Victory: Bears

Saints (-1.5) @ Steelers: PICK'EM #3: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz New Orleans

Victory: Saints

Colts @ Raiders (-4.5): I don't trust either team, but the Colts are in more disarray so I will go with the Raiders (sorry)

Points: Raiders    Victory: Raiders

Cowboys (-4.5) @ Packers: Nope, can't do it. Gotta go with Dallas.

Points: Cowboys   Victory: Cowboys

Cardinals @ Rams (-3): Both QBs are in jeopardy of missing this game so I will take the more complete team IMO, which is the Rams.

Points: Rams    Victory: Rams

Chargers @ 49ers (-7): This spread is a little too high for me. Niners win but the game is closer than 7.

Points: Chargers    Victory: Niners

Commanders @ Eagles (-11): Never underestimate an NFC East game. And the Commies have been playing better than late. Eagles win, but it will be 10 or under.

Points: Commies      Victory: Eagles

Friday, November 4, 2022

Greg's NFL Picks 2022: Week #9

I continue to keep myself above average, even though I got burned by a couple of high point spreads last week (including Thursday Night). My current season totals are:

Points: 47-38

Victories: 78-53

Bills (-11) @ Jets: Tough spread and I think Jets keep it close with tough defense, but Bills pull away late.

Points: Bills    Victory: Bills

Dolphins (-4) @ Bears:  Good test for Justin Fields here. I think this could be a relatively high scoring game, but I will side with Miami. If they want to make the playoffs, they have to win this game.

Points: Dolphins    Victory: Dolphins

Vikings (-3) @ Commanders: I'm getting the feeling people are still down on Minnesota. They shouldn't be (unless they're in prime time). Skol.

Points: Vikings      Victory: Vikings

Panthers @ Bengals (-7.5):  Zac Taylorr is feeling some heat. I think he gets it off for one week. I like the Bengals big this week.

Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Chargers (-3) @ Falcons: UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know that I can't trust the Chargers as far as I throw them. And they're coming in banged up (no Keenan Allen or Mike Williams). Falcons coming off an emotional divisional win. I think they seize momentum and ground the Bolts.

Points: Falcons    Victory: Falcons

Packers (-3.5) @ Lions: If Green Bay loses this, they might as well just cancel their season. I will go with them one more time.

Points: Packers     Victory: Packers

Raiders (-2) @ Jaguars: PICK'EM!  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Jags

Victory: Jaguars

Colts @ Patriots (-6): I know Mac Jones sucks, but the Pats defense should be good enough to hold off a young QB in Sma Ehlinger.

Points: Pats      Victory: Pats

Seahawks @ Cardinals (-2): PICK'EM #2! I love me some Pete Carroll right now. Give me Seattle.

Victory: Seahawks

Rams @ Buccaneers (-3): ANOTHER UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First time I've pulled out this gem. I think Brady is done being an elite level QB; he can still be a good QB. And the Rams are coming off the bye and they are healthy. I will take the Rams on the Road.

Points: Rams   Victory: Rams

Titans @ Chiefs (-12.5): Think this spread is way too high. Titans will run the ball and shorten the clock. I will split the difference, taking the Titans with the points.

Points: Titans     Victory: Chiefs

Ravens (-2.5) @ Saints: PICK'EM #3!  Luckily the spread is low, because I think the Ravens win, but I'm not comfortable with it.

Victory: Ravens

Friday, October 28, 2022

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 8

Another great week for me as I go 7-3 against the spread and 9-5 in the victory column (including Thursday night) That brings my total to:

Points: 41-34

Victory: 66-51

I have also hit upon my upset picks this year, going 5-2 in that regard. Let's see if that continues.

Broncos @ Jaguars (-2.5) YE OLDE PICK'EM! London gets the football it always gets. Give me Jacksonville.

Victory: Jaguars

Patriots (-2.5) @ Jets: PICK'EM #2! I see another close low scoring game as the defenses step up. In this case, I think the Pats are the more desperate team so I'm going to go with them, but again, it could be anybody's game

Victory: Pats

Steelers @ Eagles (-10.5): I'm going to take a flier on this one. I think the Steelers will play them close and I think the Eagles are due for a down performance. I think the Eagles win, but I think the Steelers will keep it under the number.

Points: Steelers    Victory: Eagles

Bears @ Cowboys (-9.5): I don't know if the Bears can keep up their momentum from MNF. I think Cowboys grind them down and eventually cover

Points: Cowboys   Victory: Cowboys

Dolphins (-3.5) @ Lions: The Lions have really come back to Earth, especially offensively. I'll take Miami.

Points: Dolphins    Victory: Dolphins

Cardinals @ Vikings (-3.5): Very quietly, the Vikings are 5-1. I think that continues.

Points: Vikings   Victory: Vikings

Panthers @ Falcons (-4.5): Winner leads the NFC South. Not really sure, but I will split the difference. Falcons win but...

Points: Panthers     Victory: Falcons

Raiders (-1) @ Saints: PICK'EM #3!  Give me the Raiders. That's all.

Victory: Raiders

Titans (-3) @ Texans: Big win for the Titans last week. I think they back is up with another.

Points: Titans     Victory: Titans

Giants @ Seahawks (-3): My brain is saying Seahawks because the Giants' run defense has been bad recently. But I can't go against the Giants coaching again. Therefore, I will split the difference.

Points: Giants   Victory: Seahawks

Commanders @ Colts (-2.5): I like Taylor Heinicke more than others and I don't like the first-time starter in this spot. Give me the Commies on the road.

Victory: Commies

49ers @ Rams (-1.5): Niners have the hex on the Rams and honestly, I don't think there is a reason for it to stop. Give me the Niners

Victory: Niners

Packers @ Bills (-11): Yeah, this has the potential to get really ugly. Big number, but I have to take the Bills.

Points: Bills    Victory: Bills

Bengals (-3) @ Browns: UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This would not have been on my radar, until the news came out yesterday that JaMarr Chase will be out the next couple of weeks with a hip injury. They will adjust, but it will be tough immediately. Browns hung around the Ravens, so they will be game. I think the Bengals struggle at first without Chase and the Browns get the upset.

Points: Browns     Victory: Browns

Friday, October 21, 2022

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 7

Another solid week for me as I go 5-3 against the spread and 9-4 in the victory column (including last night's win by the Cardinals over the Saints) That brings my season total to:

Points: 34-31

Victories: 57-46

So, let's begin again....

Giants @ Jaguars (-3): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!
TBH, this is kind of by default because I don't really like any of the other games and opportunities. I know the Jaguars' run defense has been good, but the Giants are making me believe. This might be too much to ask of them, but I'm going in on them

Points: Giants      Victory: Giants

Buccaneers (-13) @ Panthers: The number scares me a bit, but Carolina is in firesale mode. I will take the Bucs

Points: Bucs     Victory: Bucs

Lions @ Cowboys (-6.5): Cowboys will bounce back, and I get the hook as a bonus

Points: Cowboys   Victory: Cowboys

Packers (-4.5) @ Commanders: I just don't know if the Commies have enough firepower to do what the Jets did and force the issue. I think the Packers slowly pull away.

Points: Packers    Victory: Packers

Falcons @ Bengals (-6.5): Once again, I get the hook, and I think the Bengals found themselves last week. I will take the Bengals

Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Browns @ Ravens (-6.5): Divisional matchup; I can't trust the Ravens with a double-digit lead. I have a feeling this game is closer than people think. I will take the Browns with the points but the Ravens to eke it out.

Points: Browns     Victory: Ravens

Colts @ Titans (-2.5): PICK'EM!  Titans coming off their bye, winning 3 in a row. I think Tennessee wins.

Victory: Titans

Jets @ Broncos (-1): PICK'EM #2! This game has a 13-10 feel. Both defenses are playing well. To me it comes down to Zach Wilson protecting the football. I'm going to go with Denver, but I wouldn't be shocked either way.

Victory: Broncos

Texans @ Raiders (-7): Even the Raiders should be able to pull this off.

Points: Raiders   Victory: Raiders

Chiefs @ 49ers (-2): PICK'EM #3! It doesn't look like Christian McCaffrey will play this week, so I will take the Chiefs to bounce back

Victory: Chiefs

Seahawks @ Chargers (-5): The Chargers are irritating. They should be much better than they are. but they struggle. I think the Seahawks keep this game close with Geno Smith balling out. Chargers win, but I will take the points.

Points: Seahawks    Victory: Chargers

Steelers @ Dolphins (-7.5): With Tua coming back, the Dolphins should win this game. But I don't have the hook this time. I will take the Steelers to muck this game up a bit and Tua being a bit rusty. I will take the Steelers with the points.

Points: Steelers    Victory: Dolphins

Bears @ Patriots (-8): Really?

Points: Patriots   Victory: Patriots

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week 6

I had a so-so week last week, going 6-7 against the spread. I got hooked a couple of times. I did well in the victory column; going 10-6 including last night. So that brings my season total to:

Points: 29-28

Victory: 48-42

So, onto Week #6 and a lot of close games. Lot of pick'em's this week. But there will be room for maneuvering.

Jets @ Packers (-7.5): This scares me because beyond Aaron Rodgers, I think the Jets matchup decently against Green Bay. And the hook is in there. I think the Packers win, but I think the Jets (who have owned the 4th quarter this year) will score enough to get within 7 and thusly under the hook.

Points: Jets    Victory: Packers

Ravens (-5.5) @ Giants: I feel the same way about this game. The Giants are kind of due to lose a close one. So, I will take the points but pick the Ravens to win.

Points: Giants    Victory: Ravens

49ers (-5.5) @ Falcons: UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Niners are coming east to play early, and they are really banged up, especially along their defensive line. The Falcons have shown life this year and have not really been a doormat. Give me the Falcons to take advantage of that.

Points: Falcons    Victory: Falcons

Buccaneers (-8) @ Steelers: Steelers now welcome in one of the top defenses in the NFL to play Kenny Pickett. Good luck. Give me the Bucs easy.

Points: Bucs    Victory: Bucs

Vikings (-3.5) @ Dolphins: Little secret, Miami's defense is not that good. Cook, Theilen and Jefferson should take advantage of that. I know the Vikings are tough to trust. I will trust them here.

Points: Vikings    Victory: Vikings

Bengals (-2.5) @ Saints: PICK'EM!  Not comfy with it, but I will take the Bengals

Victory: Bengals

Patriots @ Browns (-2.5): PICK'EM #2! I don't trust the Browns. I know they're at home, but I can't do it.

Victory: Patriots

Jaguars @ Colts (-2): PICK'EM #3!  Looks like Johnathan Taylor will be back and once again, I don't know how the young Jags will react to a rogue crowd in division. Give me the Colts.

Victory: Colts

Panthers @ Rams (-10):  Rams need a bludgeoning badly. I think they get it here.

Points: Rams   Victory: Rams

Cardinals (-2) @ Seahawks: PICK'EM #4! Seahawks are banged up. I'll take the Cards on the road.

Victory: Cardinals

Bills (-2.5) @ Chiefs: PICK'EM #5! I just think the Bills are the more complete team, but they are banged up still. Hesitatingly, I will take the Bills.

Victory: Bills

Cowboys @ Eagles (-6.5): I think this is a low scoring-esque game. While the Cowboys defense vs. Jalen Hurts is the main attraction, I believe the Eagles defense will prove to be the deciding factor in some fashion. I will take the Cowboys with the points, but the Eagles will go to 6-0

Points: Cowboys    Victory: Eagles

Broncos @ Chargers (-4.5): The Broncos are a mess. Give me the Chargers.

Points: Chargers    Victory: Chargers

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week #5

Unfortunately, I have to take the loss last night (Damn you Broncos), but again overall I had a very good week (8-3 on the spread and 11-4 in the victory column) That brings me to 23-21 against the spread and 38-36 on the season. Let's get at it again.

Giants @ Packers (-7.5): I'm really tempted to take the Giants with the points, And I'm going to do it. Why? Packers run defense was abysmal against New England and Saquon should feast. Packers win, but I have the hook.

Points: Giants   Victory: Packers

Steelers @ Bills (-14): It's a high spread, but Kenny Pickett on the road in his first start? Steelers defense not that great? I will hesitantly take Buffalo

Points: Bills   Victory: Bills

Falcons @ Buccaneers (-10): No Kyle Pitt for Atlanta and Brady needs to beat somebody up for alimony (hehe)

Points: Buccaneers     Victory: Buccaneers

Dolphins (-3.5) @ Jets:  "Show me" game. All I have to say. Until then...

Points: Dolphins      Victory: Dolphins

Titans (-2) @ Commanders: PICK'EM! Titans have more talent

Victory: Titans

Bears @ Vikings (-7.5): Scares me a bit, but I think the Vikings will win and cover despite the hook.

Points: Vikings     Victory: Vikings

Texans @ Jaguars (-7): Kind of like the Jets except I think they will win because of their talent differential. But I can see them struggling to pull away a bit.

Points: Texans    Victory: Jaguars

Chargers (-2) @ Browns: PICK'EM #2! Chargers run defense has given up the second most yard/carry in the NFL. Nick Chubb should feast. I'm going against the spread and take the Browns

Victory: Browns

Lions @ Patriots (-3): Just like last week, trust Belichick's defense. Only this time, Detroit's defense should give up points.

Points: Patriots    Victory: Patriots

Seahawks @ Saints (-5): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!!!!
Geno Smith and the Hawks' offense has really been humming of late. Dalton starting again for the Saints does not bode well for the Saints scoring a ton. I will take the Seahawks on the road to beat New Orleans.

Points: Seahawks    Victory: Seahawks

49ers (-6.5) @ Panthers: Give me San Fran with the hook on my side.

Points: Niners    Victory: Niners

Eagles (-5) @ Cardinals: Eagles will have a letdown at some point, but I don't think it's here.

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Cowboys @ Rams (-5.5):   Almost was my upset pick of the week but I don't know what Cooper Rush will do against an elite opponent. Their defense should keep the game close though. Will split the difference.

Points: Cowboys     Victory: Rams

Bengals @ Ravens (-3.5): Usually Jekyll and Hyde Ravens bounce back after bad loss so I will take the Ravens

Points: Ravens    Victory: Ravens

Raiders @ Chiefs (-7):  Don't trust McDaniels. Take the Chiefs

Points: Chiefs    Victory: Chiefs

Greg's 2022 Thursday Night Pick: Week 5

I think I had a nice week last week, so let's keep it rolling

Colts @ Broncos (-3.5): This is a snoozer all the way. Colts without Jonathan Taylor at RB. If the Broncos can't win this game, Hackett is going to start hearing it from his team. I think the Broncos win by 7 or so.

Points: Broncos   Victory: Broncos

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks: Week #4

I really bounced back against the spread last week (and Thursday night). I am now up to 15-18 against the spread (going 7-3 in the last 10), and 27-22 in the victory column. Also, it is very hard for me to write blurbs for every game, so I will write blurbs for games that I have strong opinions on and my upset(s????)

So here we go:

Vikings (-3) @ Saints: It looks like Andy Dalton will be starting for the Saints, which might be a good thing, but they are also banged up at skill positions, which is not good. Give me the Vikings over in London.

Points: Vikings    Victory: Vikings

Jaguars @ Eagles (-6.5): Doug Pederson revenge game? Eagles are playing too well and I have the hook.

Points: Eagles   Victory: Eagles

Bills (-3) @ Ravens: Rain all weekend? Go with the better defense and that's Buffalo.

Points: Bills    Victory: Bils

Commanders @ Cowboys (-3): Cooper Rush is doing solid and will continue.

Points: Cowboys   Victory: Cowboys

Jets @ Steelers (-3.5): UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!
With no TJ Watt, I don't believe the Steelers have the pass rush to take advantage of the Jets left side. And the Jets have actually done okay against the run so Mitch Trubisky will have to win this. If the Jets get blown out, I think their DC is done. I think just like the Cleveland game, this is put up time for Saleh and his staff and I think they get it done. They better.

Points: Jets    Victory: Jets

Chargers (-5.5) @ Texans: Don't really care. Go with the Chargers

Points: Chargers   Victory: Chargers

Browns (-1) @ Falcons: PICK'EM! Again, don't really care. Go with Browns

Victory: Browns

Seahawks @ Lions (-3.5): If the Lions have grown up, they should win this game. And I think they will.

Points: Lions    Victory: Lions

Bears @ Giants (-3): I was very close to making this the upset pick of the week, because the Giants are just banged up in the skill positions. But then, there is that coaching that I love. I'm going to pick the Giants to win. but I will be cautions here.

Points: Bears   Victory: Giants

Titans @ Colts (-3.5): Big game for the Colts to see if they can build on their big upset against KC. I'm kind of eh on this game because I want the Colts to show me more; and the Titans will be desperate. I will play cautiously here again.

Points: Titans    Victory: Colts

Cardinals (-1) @ Panthers: PICK'EM #2! Yawn, I'll take the Cardinals barely.

Victory: Cardinals

Patriots @ Packers (-9): I think Belichick will keep this game closer than that, but I think the Packers will win by 7, so I will take the points

Points: Pats    Victory: Packers

Broncos @ Raiders (-2.5): PICK'EM #3! Battle of 2 horrible coaches. The Raiders are going to win one eventually; they're too talented. Give me the Raiders

Victory: Raiders

Chiefs @ Buccaneers (-1): PICK'EM #4!  Will be a weird atmosphere after the hurricane. This is close. I will go with KC because of the loss last week to Indy. They will be focused.

Victory: Chiefs

Rams @ Niners (-2): PICK'EM #5! Suspicious line because I think the Rams are better and they got the Niners monkey off their back last year. I will go with the Rams

Victory: Rams

Greg's Thursday NFL Picks: Week #3

I will get into the results from last week tomorrow. But for now, the Thursday Night pick:

Dolphins @ Bengals (-3.5): When you're on a short week, injuries and health become even more critical. This is why I favor the Bengals in this game. Dolphins have a myriad of injuries, none the least the back injury to Tua. Now he came back and played, but on a short week on the road? Ehhhhhh. The hook scares me a bit, but I will go with the Bengals

Points: Bengals   Victory: Bengals

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks Week #3

So, through 2 weeks, I have dug myself a hole. Even though I got Thursday Night Football correct (I picked the Browns) I am still 8-15 against the spread, while being 19-14 in the victory column. Hopefully, we can start to turn this a bit this week. Let's take a look at it.

Chiefs (-5.5) @ Colts: I can't trust the Colts anymore. They are in serious trouble. Could they put up some points? Maybe, but I like the hook in this case. Give me KC.

Points: Chiefs   Victory: Chiefs

Bills (-5) @ Dolphins: Probably the game of the weekend here. Are Tua and the Dolphins ready for this moment? I think they are. And the Bills are going to have a letdown at some point. I'm not picking the upset, but I think I will give the points away. I think this will be close.

Points: Dolphins   Victory: Bills

Eagles (-6.5) @ Commanders: I think the Eagles deserve more respect from me. Jalen Hurts is rounding into form. And despite Wentz wanting revenge, I think Hurts wants some revenge/respect as well. The hook helps me here. Give me the Eagles

Points: Eagles    Victory: Eagles

Bengals (-6) @ Jets: Tempting because the Bengals OL is a great matchup for the Jets DL, but I can't believe that Cincy will start 0-3, and neither do bettors; as this line has gone up during the week. I think Jets play hard but Bengals pull away late.

Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Lions @ Vikings (-6): Another tempting game given the Lions powerful offense the first two games and the Vikings topsy turvy play. I think the Vikings pull it out, but I think it will be close, so I will take the points.

Points: Lions   Victory: Vikings

Ravens (-3) @ Patriots:  I think the Pats are getting the Ravens at the wrong time. They just blew a big game against Miami, in which Lamar played pretty well, and they will be angry. I also don't think the Pats have the weapons like Miami did to take advantage of the Ravens defense, so I will go with the Ravens

Points: Ravens   Victory: Ravens

Raiders (-2) @ Titans: PICK'EM!  Ugly game here. Two teams with talent but with head coaches who are questionable at best. I will go with the Raiders because the Titans will be without some key plyers including their LT and two edge rushers.

Victory: Raiders

Saints (-2.5) @ Panthers: PICK'EM #2! Comes down to coaching. Give me Dennis Allen over Matt Rhule easily. I think the Saints will win, not handily, but well.

Victory: Saints

Texans @ Bears (-3): I think the Bears are kind of in a nowhere place. I think they are okay in some places, but Fields and crew are meh. If the Texans had shown me more against Denver, maybe I would have gone with them, but I think the Bears win by at least a FG, so I will take the Bears.

Points: Bears    Victory: Bears

Jaguars @ Chargers (-3): VERY SUSPICIOUS LINE. The Chargers are only a 3-point favorite at home against the Jaguars? I know Herbert's ribs are hurt, but all signs point to him giving it a go on Sunday at least right now. But even if he doesn't, what does that say about the rest of the team? The Jags need to show me more to fully trust them. I will go with the Chargers, somewhat reluctantly

Points: Chargers    Victory: Chargers

Rams (-3.5) @ Cardinals: UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!
This is not only about the Cardinals getting a big win last week against the Raiders; this is also about the Rams being unable to really slam the door on the Falcons. The Rams scare me. They might be going through a bit of a SB hangover. And I think the Cardinals at home, after that win, will prove up to the task.

Points: Cardinals   Victory: Cardinals

Packers @ Buccaneers (-1): PICK'EM #3! I'm going with the Bucs based on their defense, which has only given up 1 TD all season. Rodgers and the rookie receivers will be tested, and I think they will lose.

Victory: Bucs

Falcons @ Seahawks (-1): PICK'EM #4!  I wonder how much good that near comeback against the Rams did. Seattle disappointed me greatly. I think I will go against the grain here and pick Atlanta. Have a feeling.

Victory: Falcons

49ers (-1.5) @ Broncos: PICK'EM #5!  While the QB matchup favors Denver, the coaching matchup favors San Francisco by a lot. That's why I'm going with them.

Victory: Niners

Cowboys @ Giants (-1): PICK'EM #6! This is going to be a low scoring game. Both offenses will be under siege. But I will go with my heart and pick the Giants, although it could really go either way.

Victory: Giants

Greg's 2022 NFL Picks Week #2

So I got hit with the late backdoor cover last night as my season against the spread barely takes off with a 4-8 record. I am 9-8 though in the victory column. But I will not give up easily. So let's get on to Week #2

Jets @ Browns (-6.5): I'm going out on a little bit of a limb here. This is the most important game Robert Saleh has coached. After what he said this week, the Jets need to at least show up and compete. And I think they might. Brisset is no Lamar Jackson and the Jets defense held up okay. I think the Browns will win but I will take the Jets with the points because if they don't compete, hoo boy..

Points: Jets   Victory: Browns

Dolphins @ Ravens (-3.5) UPSET PICK OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!
This line feels low for a reason. The Ravens did not really impress against the Jets and the Dolphins put on a clinic against New England. Remember last year, the Dolphins DOMINATED the Ravens in a Thursday Night game. I think the oddsmakers sense it being close thus the spread and I will stick my neck out and the Fins go to 2-0

Points: Dolphins   Victory: Dolphins

Panthers @ Giants (-1.5): PICK'EM!  Good test for Brian Daboll here. Let's see how he and the Giants handle success. I believe they will handle it well. The big key is can the Giants stop McCaffrey from getting passes out of the backfield. If they can, I think they will be in good shape, along with a rejuvenated Saquon. I love the Giants coaching staff so much, so I will give them the benefit here.

Victory: Giants

Buccaneers (-2.5) @ Saints: PICK'EM #2! Remember last year the Saints really gave the Buccaneers fits. And they are at home. But there is doubt whether Alvin Kamara will play. A lot of "Questionables" in this game. But Kamara may be the biggest and for that reason, I will go with Tampa.

Victory: Bucs

Colts (-3) @ Jaguars: Like Robert Saleh, Frank Reich has to be feeling the heat. And he makes the return to the scene of last year's epic choke job. And after ending up in a tie with Houston, they need to win this game and win it convincingly. And I think they will. They have too much talent to fall flat on their face again.

Points: Colts   Victory: Colts

Patriots @ Steelers (-2.5): PICK'EM #3! Usually, I would take pause at Belichick being an underdog on the road, but honestly, the Patriots have been a mess most of the season. They have to show me they still have the moxie. I will take the Steelers looking to get some revenge for past defeats.

Victory: Steelers

Commanders @ Lions (-1.5): PICK'EM #4! Keep it short here. I will take Detroit, who nearly pulled off an epic comeback last week.

Victory: Lions

Falcons @ Rams (-10): The Rams have had over 2 weeks to stew on getting ass-blasted by Buffalo. The Falcons performed their trademarked "give up a huge lead late" routine against the Saints. This could get VERY ugly. I think the Rams come out with a vengeance and hand it to them

Points: Rams   Victory: Rams

Seahawks @ 49ers (-8.5): This line is not good at all. The Seahawks impressed at home against Denver while the Niners fell flat on their face against Chicago. I think the Niners will eventually wear out the Hawks, but not to that extent. I will take the Seahawks with the points.

Points: Seahawks   Victory: Niners

Bengals (-7) @ Cowboys:  Honestly if the Bengals can't dominate this game, the question of a Super Bowl hangover will rise more and more. Cowboys without Dak, Bengals coming off a heartbreaking loss. Give me the Bengals to at least win by a TD.

Points: Bengals    Victory: Bengals

Texans @ Broncos (-10): I don't really have a feel on this game. I don't know if I can give the Broncos the benefit of the doubt. On the other hand, the spread is really big. I'll go with Denver, hesitatingly.

Points: Broncos   Victory: Broncos

Cardinals @ Raiders (-5): Same thing here. I don't have a feel. I think I'll go with Vegas because the Cardinals defense was absolutely embarrassed by the Chiefs and I don't really trust them. And I'm only giving 5 points? I'll give those points.

Points: Raiders    Victory: Raiders

Bears @ Packers (-10): This line is exactly right. Bears might be due for a letdown and after getting smashed by the Vikings, Aaron Rodgers will need to get some ego boost against the team he owns. Packers should win by a lot.

Points: Packers   Victory: Packers

Titans @ Bills (-10): Don't get me wrong, I think the Bills win this game, but Tennessee has the exact formula to keep Josh Allen off the field. The question is whether Mike Vrabel will use it effectively. He has had some questionable coaching decisions. Let's hope he sees the strategy. I will take the Titans with the points.

Points: Titans   Victory: Bills

Vikings @ Eagles (-2.5): PICK'EM #5! Two teams that can have let downs at any moment. In this case I'm going out on a limb and will take Kirk Cousins (despite his bad primetime record) against Jalen Hurts. The Eagles defense did not provide confidence last week. Gimme the Vikings.

Victory: Vikings
